Water sports clubs
Our aim is to make water sports fun and enjoyable for children, young people and families. The Segelcamp is just the first step. In Kiel you will find numerous water sports clubs where you can develop your skills and have even more fun on the water.
The Segelcamp offers you the perfect introduction to sailing. Here, young and old can discover their passion for Kiel and water sports in more than 30 taster sailing sessions on cutters, optimists, O'pen BICs, dinghies and skippi yachts under the guidance of experienced sailing instructors.
Further knowledge is taught in local water sports clubs and sailing schools. There you can, for example, take the Sportbootführerschein-See - the official license to drive motorized pleasure craft, mandatory for vessels under engine with more than 15 hp. If you want to go on larger yachts, which are usually equipped with radios on board, the SRC radio license is required, which is also offered by many sailing clubs or schools.
You can find an overview of sailing licenses at the German Sailing Association. You can find and contact the right club or sailing school in your area on the map below (redirected to Google Maps). If you can't find the right one yet, you can find another search mask for training clubs or sailing schools at the German Sailing Association.
