Crew des Segelcamps an der Kiellinie

About us

Ahoy! The Segelcamp is a joint project of Kiel-Marketing GmbH, Kiel.Sailing.City and Stadtwerke Kiel AG as well as over 100 other partners and sponsors. The popular meeting place on the Kiellinie has existed since 2002 and has become a firmly established part of Kiel.

Segelcamp powered by Stadtwerke Kiel

Right by the sea, right in the city center, all water sports enthusiasts (or those who want to become one), children and teenagers, adults and guests can take advantage of this offer alone, in groups or with the family. The bathing jetty opposite the sailing camp also provides refreshment on hot days.

Unique and inclusive

The maritime meeting place on the water is unique in Germany. With this public, non-commercial project, we want to introduce children and young people to the sport of sailing for little money. We teach important values such as team spirit, social skills and communication. The experience of nature and an understanding of the environment are also strengthened.

Marine conservation is very important to us, which is why environmental cruises, raising awareness of waste avoidance and a 360° VR marine experience room are integral parts of our sustainability concept and round off the offer.

Varied offer on land and in the water

More than 30 taster sailing offers for young and old will kindle a passion for sailing here. The Kiel Fjord is also ideal for stand-up paddling (SUP). You can hire SUPs at the Segelcamp and enjoy the atmosphere of the maritime state capital from the water.

The popular meeting place on the Kiellinie also offers many free attractions on land, such as table tennis, table football, knot trainers and two paid beach volleyball courts, providing variety and exercise for young and old.

As a member of the German Olympic Association (DOG), the sailing camp also aims to promote the Olympic idea and participates in the organization of many sailing competitions and events.
