Immersive sea experience space
The immersive marine experience space combines marine research, environmental protection, art, tourism and water sports in an interdisciplinary way and sets an example for environmental awareness.
Thanks to the support of the Environmental Protection Agency of the state capital of Kiel and the artistic guidance of the marine painters, a maritime world has been created that immerses you in an authentic marine world even before you put on your VR glasses.
There are various 360° films to choose from. The well-known German polar explorer Arved Fuchs takes you on a VR expedition to Greenland. With the old, almost 100-year-old wooden cutter Dagmar Aaen, you sail through the fjords of Greenland and inspect the environmental sins that have been left behind here and threaten the landscape and sea.
The 360° VR tour with European kiteboarding champion Mario Rodwald from Kiel is both sporty and spectacular. On his kite trips, from South Africa to Iceland, he often ended up with his kiteboard in the trash. That's why he shows how a love of water sports gives rise to a love of the sea and thus a commitment to marine conservation.
Making an appointment
The immersive ocean experience room is staffed as required. Dates and prices are therefore allocated and communicated on request.
The offer is aimed at both individuals and group events such as team events. In future, the VR container will also be available for use by school classes - a perfect place for extracurricular learning and raising environmental awareness among pupils.
To make an appointment, you can contact us via the contact form or by telephone on (0431) 9012 573.
